When to Add Pool Accessories, During a Build or After?
There are two good times to add an accessory, and both work well.
During a Pool Build Project
The first is during a pool build or a deck pour, when a deck jet or water feature is planned into the concrete from the start, and the plumbing runs are completed before the deck is finished. Building it in this way keeps the feature integrated and avoids cutting into finished work later, so it is the cleaner and less expensive route when the timing lines up.
After a Pool Build Project
The second is any time after the pool is already in the ground. Plenty of accessories are added to an existing pool and deck, from features fitted to the current setup to add-ons that upgrade a pool you have had for years. We assess what your pool and deck can support and install the accessory to work with what is already there.
Whichever path fits your situation, we choose accessories that hold up to New England winters and a long covered off-season, so they last through the conditions here.
How We Install Pool Accessories
The owner plans and runs every accessory install directly, so the person who designs the placement is the person who installs it. The work follows a clear path from the first look to the final test.
On-site assessment of your pool and deck to plan placement and any plumbing or electrical the accessory needs
Coordination with a pool or deck project when the accessory is being built into a new build
Installation fitted to your specific pool and deck rather than a generic drop-in
Connection of any plumbing, and any electrical work the add-on requires
Startup and testing before the job is finished
Accessories that require electrical work are completed through a coordinated licensed electrician.

Common Questions About Pool Accessory Installation
Do you install accessories you did not supply?
We only install accessories we supply. We don’t install accessories homeowners have purchased elsewhere.
Will installing an accessory affect my vinyl liner or its warranty?
Any accessory that sits against or penetrates the liner is placed with the liner in mind, so the installation protects the vinyl rather than putting it at risk. The liner warranty covers manufacturer defects and improper installation.
Do pool accessories need to be removed or winterized for the season?
We handle winterizing for accessories on pools we built.
How long does accessory installation take?
The timeframe depends on the accessory and on whether it is built into a pool or deck project or added to an existing pool. An add-on planned into a build is installed as part of that schedule, while a standalone addition to an existing pool is quicker.
